Last weekend was the Cambridge Literary Festival, and I was excited to see lots of YA and children’s author names I recognised on the programme—Darren Shan, Marcus and Julian Sedgwick, Sarah McIntyre and Philip Reeve….and Sharon Jones and Teri Terry! It’s not often I get to see and/or meet authors without traveling to London, so this was a real treat. I know Sharon well from Twitter and Author Allsorts, and love her YA thrillers Dead Jealous and Dead Silent. As for Teri, I’d been aware of her dystopian Slated trilogy for some time, and the upcoming festival prompted me to finally read the first book. (Which I’m very glad I did. Second...
