Most Anticipated YA Books of 2015

Happy almost-2015! It feels kind of sad that my debut year is over, but there are so many amazing-sounding books coming out this year that there’s lots to look forward to. Here are my top ten…   January   Vendetta by Catherine Doyle I’ve read numerous five star reviews for Vendetta, so am very glad I don’t have to wait for it. Billed as a modern retelling of Romeo and Juliet, featuring warring families, a Mafia-like underworld, and numerous cute boys, it sounds amazing.         Arsenic for Tea by Robin Stevens Though technically MG rather than YA, Murder Most Unladylike was one of my favourite reads of 2014...

Best Book Read in November: THE SCREAMING STAIRCASE by Jonathan Stroud

I’ve been getting into the swing of school visits lately, which has made November a fun but busy month! Last month I read: The Young World by Chris Weitz — post-apocalyptic YA, with dual POV and strong voice. I had no expectations going in, and really enjoyed it. Looking forward to book two. The Little Stranger by Sarah Waters — adult historical ghost story. Took a long time to get going, but was atmospheric and clever. I listened to the audio book whilst working alone after dark, and got more than a little creeped out! Undone by Cat Clarke — contemporary YA. Much darker and twistier than A Kiss in the Dark. Very well written and thought-provoking,...
