Book Launch: Kerry Drewery’s CELL 7

Cell 7 has to be one of my most anticipated books of the year. The first in a trilogy about a teen girl on death row whose execution will be decided by public phone and internet vote, the premise just completely grabs me. I was excited last weekend to be invited to Kerry’s launch so I could finally buy a copy and have it signed!

Kerry held her launch in a beautiful building in the shadow of Lincoln Cathedral, and it was packed with people. I took along my book blogger sister, who’d already started Cell 7 and was loving it. Looking back at my photos, I mostly took snaps of the food — but then it was very good food. (That cake!)

Cake aside, it was lovely catching up with a couple of author friends and meeting some new faces.

Congrats, Kerry! Can’t wait to start Cell 7.

If you’ve read it, let me know what you thought!

Cell 7Should she live or die? You decide

An adored celebrity has been killed. Sixteen-year-old Martha Honeydew was found holding a gun, standing over the body.

Now Justice must prevail.

The general public will decide whether Martha is innocent or guilty by viewing daily episodes of the hugely popular TV show Death is Justice, the only TV show that gives the power of life and death decisions – all for the price of a phone call.

Martha has admitted to the crime. But is she guilty? Or is reality sometimes more complicated than the images we are shown on TV?
